Text Box: February and March finds the third graders busy learning about famous people, timelines, biographies, place value, multiplication, geometry, summary paragraphs and poetryl Also, at the beginning of March we will start our interesting and adventurous unit about Alaska and the famous Iditarod dog sled race. The kids love this unit! They will be sharing lots of information with you about Alaska, sled dogs, mushers, and the native Alaskan people. They will also be doing some research on an Arctic animal and making a non-fiction report called a probe. It is an exciting and fun time of learning.
Text Box: CSAP
The third graders will be taking the reading portion of the CSAP during the week of Feb. 13 - Feb. 23rd and the math and writing portions March 14 - March 22nd.

This can be a stressful time for them. To help them do their best please make sure your child is well rested, has a healthy breakfast and is here on time during this testing period.

To prepare for these tests we have been working on test taking skills, writing complete sentence answers, doing practice booklets and rereading our work carefully.
