Let me introduce myself. My name is Charity DeLude and I am honored to be teaching kindergarten at Glacier Peak. I have been happily married for 26 years and we have 3 beautiful children. My oldest daughter, Alexis, just got married last year and is living in Castle Rock with her husband. They are both music teacher for the Douglas County school district. My twins, Liam and Naomi, graduated high school last year with honors. Naomi joined the army this summer and is in San Antonio for medical training. Liam is coaching parkour at a local gym. He plans to take a gap year and attend MSU in 2021. I am so proud of all of them.
It took me a little longer than most to decide what I wanted to do when I grew up, so I spent about 20 years raising my children before going back to school to get my degree in human development with my license in elementary education. I taught 3rd grade for a semester at Turnberry Elementary in Brighton and then I worked as a guest teacher in Adams 12 for 2 years. This is my second year teaching kindergarten at Glacier Peak, and I am loving every minute of it. I look forward to what the future holds for me in education.
