Hello, I am Melissa Marsh, and I teach fourth grade. Glacier Peak has been my home since we opened in 2001. Prior to Glacier Peak, I taught for three years at Malley Drive Elementary. I’m an Army Brat, and I grew up moving all over the U.S. and Germany before coming to Colorado in 1992 to attend CU-Boulder. I live in Thornton with my husband Steve, and our two sons. Riley is a sophomore at Horizon High School and Carter is a seventh grader at Century Middle School. I'm the quintessential sports mom, and spend most of my weeknights driving my kids to practices and most of my weekends cheering for them at the football field, basketball court or baseball field. I'm also a Zumba Instructor, and in my spare time I enjoy working out, working on improving my photography skills, and spending lots of time with great friends and family.
Glacier Peak is my second home. Every day I'm inspired by the children, families and colleagues around me. There's nowhere else I'd rather teach! My favorite part about teaching 4th grade is helping students grow into great readers and writers. I love seeing that sparkle in students’ eyes when they’re learning something new. I'm so blessed to be a part of this wonderful community of Glacier Peak families. Thank you for entrusting me with your most treasured gifts, your children.
